For the Zegna Summer 2024 collection, Alessandro Sartori demonstrates the fluidity of linen.

The Zegna Spring Summer 2024 Men's Fashion Show took place against the magnificent backdrop of Alessandro Manzoni's statue, immersed in the radiant ambience of his renowned literary work, "I Promessi Sposi" (The Betrothed). Alessandro Sartori, the visionary behind Zegna's creative endeavours, has consistently strived to establish a modern global tailoring language, adapting traditional sartorial norms to the changing times. Showcasing a focus on refreshing and lightweight aesthetics, Sartori presented his vision for the future of men's fashion, skilfully expressing it through the innovative application of linen, particularly the newly developed Oasi Linen.

Summer 2024 Fashion Show

Almost every piece of the collection showcased the Oasi Linen, and Sartori and his team accomplished impressive technical achievements using this versatile fabric. The skilled integration of the linen into the lining of construction-free leather jackets with camp collars resulted in a perfect combination of elegance and functionality. Additionally, the fabric was woven into the boxy "guru collared" jacket, featuring cinching pleats beneath vertical pockets, which became a defining piece of this collection. The fabric's versatility was further highlighted as it transformed into a wool-like density in knitwear variations and exhibited a textured, clubby feel when paired with apricot-coloured straight-cut pants and a rib-knit cardigan.
The Oasi Linen showcased its adaptability in various garments such as deep v-neck shirts, shorts, and jackets, undergoing a transformation into a jacquard fabric adorned with unique seams of colour. At the beginning of the collection, the emphasis was on neutral tones, blending seamlessly with the stone ambience of Piazza San Fedele. However, as the collection progressed, it gradually introduced a palette of pale pink, green, blue, and the enduring sophistication of camel, adding timeless elegance to the ensemble.
