Multi-talented artist Alvin Chong fronts our first L'Officiel Hommes Malaysia digital cover as he launches his new song "Need Me Now".

One of the most loved singer and actor in the Malaysian entertainment scene, Alvin Chong (<a href="instagram.com/alvinchong123">@alvinchong123</a>) is a name that always brings smiles to our faces.
With many successes under his belt in both acting and music, he has dropped a few new firsts this 2023: starting with his own podcast titled "R U Ok?!", where he and his guests venture into the art of self-care and mental health, and then launching his first-ever English single "Need Me Now".
Dressed in the finest Dior Men Fall 2023 collection, Alvin sat down with us for a round of #LOFF2Talk to talk about his new song, his podcast, mental health and whether he is okay.

On mental health...
I think it is very important for us to emphasize and care about our mental well-being because if you're not happy, what's the point of it? You need to take charge and make that change for yourself. Whatever you are doing, make sure that you are happy and healthy.
It's okay not to be okay because...
We are just normal human beings. Things wouldn't always work out perfectly for you, no matter your wealth or status, you just need to slowly find your way and move on to better things.

On having a perfect image on social media...
My social media feed nowadays is actually very work-oriented and I don't feel like sharing my personal life that often anymore because I don't want the people around me to feel like every time I meet them, I have to post something on the socials or they have to post themselves. I feel like the more you post, there will be more chances for you to be judged.&nbsp;
Every day I remind myself to be...
Happy. To remind myself that I am good enough and blessed in my life.
In 2023 I hope to...
Produce more music because I want people to know my story through my music. As an actor, I feel like the audience tends to fall in love with the character and not truly me. Through music, I feel like I can connect to people and get them to know me more as Alvin Chong.

My personal style is...
The same for the past few years. Outside of work, I usually go for very minimal looks -&nbsp; plain t-shirts, baggy and comfortable pants with sneakers. I don't want to spend too much time thinking about what I should wear.
My motto in life is...&nbsp;
Always believe in yourself, even when others say otherwise.
When I travel, I like to...
Switch my phone off (laughs). Because I don't like to get work messages during my holiday or receive some news that might disrupt my time off.

When I am not working, I am...
At home, doing house chores (laundry, vacumming, mopping floors...) because I live by myself.
In 2023, I have...
Aside from my new song "Need Me Now", I have a new TV show coming up on Viu. It is a short series called "Journal Sarahaeyo" and it was actually filmed in South Korea.
I've seen the first cuts of the first few episodes and it has a lot of Korean drama influence and I think the audience will love it. The story is about a girl trying to find a Korean boyfriend in Seoul.
My role model is...
This entrepreneur I followed on Instagram named Iman Gadzhi. I think he is very smart and he clearly knows what he is doing. He talks about how to help people become more successful, his daily routine and more.
