Gulf &ndash; Kanawut Traipipatpong and his first-ever role as Gucci Thailand&rsquo;s brand ambassador. Plus, a trip to join Gucci Ancora Men&rsquo;s Autumn/Winter 2024 show in Milan, Italy.

You know it is a good day when Gulf &ndash; Kanawut Traipipatpong manages to give you an interview from his packed schedule. He is a &lsquo;friend of the brand&rsquo; for a pristine fashion house like Gucci, before officially appointed as the first Thai man to be Gucci&rsquo;s brand ambassador like Mai Davika Hoorne who recently became the brand ambassador for both Gucci Fashion and Gucci Beauty.
This conversation actually occurred before this key life event announcement, but Gulf&rsquo;s hardworking quality never wears off.

Please tell us about your impression joining Gucci Ancora Men&rsquo;s Autumn/Winter 2024 show in Milan. There are so many impressions. This is my first time attending Milan&rsquo;s Fashion Week with Gucci all by myself. Before this, I went there with Mai (Davika Hoorne) but it was all me this time. So, I was super excited and impressed about this trip. How do you feel being selected to be Thailand&rsquo;s representative in such a world-class event? Excited, of course. I had never dreamed of being offered such position because each guest in the event are all world-class like IU and Jay Park. That&rsquo;s why I am so happy and excited to be a part of it. Is there any impressive, unforgettable moment from this trip? Probably my encounter with Jay Park. I met him once in Gucci&rsquo;s event in Korea, and we chatted a bit. I am super impressed that he remembered me when we met again. He was as nice as he was before. He is such a nice person, really. I have been one of his fans, listening to his music because my favourite genre is hip-hop. So, when your favourite artist remembers you, and is really nice to you, it is really both impressive and shocking at the same time.

Traveling across the globe that far, how did you feel when you saw your fans there? It was shocking! As an Asian, I didn&rsquo;t expect there would be European fans welcoming me there like when I&rsquo;m in Thailand. Out of expectation, I was both impressed and shocked. Do you still like eating crispy pork? I do. I will always do. How do you take care of yourself? I&rsquo;m one of those who burn calories really fast. So, excessive fat is not really my issue. However, I usually go to gym or play football on daily basis.

You&rsquo;ve been in this entertainment industry for a long time and you&rsquo;ve grown so much. Could you please talk about yourself how and in which direction you&rsquo;ve grown? I have changed quite a lot, indeed. Let&rsquo;s say it&rsquo;s my demeanor. When I first got into this industry, I might not know how to behave or know about sensitive stuff. I may have done something wrong. But when I kept working in this industry, met more people, I&rsquo;ve taken those experiences and applied them in real situations, improving my demeanor. Being in the entertainment industry, you have gained more fame and your life has changed. How much have you changed? I don&rsquo;t think I have changed or lost myself that much. I am kind of like an introvert. When I started being famous, I didn&rsquo;t feel like there was anything wrong or strange about staying home, because that&rsquo;s how I have been living. So, I don&rsquo;t think I have changed that much. As someone who loves staying home, could you tell us how your perfect day would be like? Probably the day I get to sleep. My perfect day is the day I get to really, truly rest, which equals a good sleep. If I keep scrolling my phone in my day off, I&rsquo;d feel like it&rsquo;s not really a day off. On the other hand, if I get to have a full good rest, I&rsquo;d wake up feeling refreshing, and that is a good, happy, perfect day for me.

Are you addicted to anything? Let&rsquo;s say I&rsquo;m addicted to cats. Why do you like being with cats? I have been around cats since I was little. My family has been having cats since my first memory. When stray cats walked by our house, my mom would feed them. Then, our house would be their forever home. It&rsquo;s aways been like that. It&rsquo;s our bond with cats. One day, I got to have my own Arza and Gongtae and our bonds are even stronger. With those strong bonds, how can you be away to work? I&rsquo;d miss them so much! When I go abroad, I&rsquo;d constantly Facetime with my mom because she&rsquo;d be in charge of taking care of my kitties when I&rsquo;m away.

If you have unlimited money and time, what would you spend them on? First of all, I&rsquo;d visit Switzerland. It&rsquo;s been my dream to bring my whole family there because my parents really want to visit there. If we have time and chance, I&rsquo;d love to spend some time with my family there. After receiving this position from Gucci, has your life changed a lot? What has changed a lot is that I need to be a lot more active on my social platforms. You can&rsquo;t deny that social network plays a key role in brand engagement these days. That&rsquo;s why I need to better focus on this. Also, I need to be more interactive with Gucci. I wasn&rsquo;t a big social network user, and this is a big change for me. Other things haven&rsquo;t changed much.

How do you see yourself in the next 10 years? No idea. I can&rsquo;t answer that now because my future can constantly change. If you ask me now, I&rsquo;d say I&rsquo;ll still be an actor in the next 10 years, or at least be someone in the entertainment industry. But who knows, I might change my mind in the next five years. I don&rsquo;t see myself that far in the future. I just want to focus on what I am about to do next. I don&rsquo;t want to have a pressure like, you know, you need to be in this level when you reach this certain age. Anyway, that&rsquo;s my view today. Even that may change later on. Is there anything you&rsquo;d like to tell Gucci? I&rsquo;d like to thank Gucci for providing me this opportunity. I promise I&rsquo;ll do my best. Thank you so much.
